Student Presentation Proposal

Proposal Deadline: October 1, 2024

Student Poster Proposals may come from individual students or groups of 2 to 4 students. Posters may be on any topic from any academic discipline, but must focus on South Asia, Southeast Asia, East Asia, or the Asian Diaspora. Proposals consist of a poster title and abstract, submitted through the on-line portal below. Additional information will be sent out after acceptance.

Students whose posters are accepted will present their research in two ways:

  1. In a poster format for display at the conference.
  2. In a PDF, video, and/or other format that can be shared digitally.

PDF’s (maximum length 4 pages) should include charts, graphs, and images with minimal text in order to capture the attention of the viewer.

Videos (maximum length 3 minutes)

  • Please provide an abstract of no more than 150 words in the space above. The title and abstract are tentative - you will have an opportunity to edit these after acceptance and before the March conference.
  • Posters are the standard form of presentation. You are also invited to display a video on a laptop in addition to the poster. You may update this in the coming months.
  • If you do not receive an automatic email acknowledging your submission, please contact the Conference Program Chair.
