McJimsey Student Essay Award

ASIANetwork invites undergraduate students from member institutions to submit papers for the Marianna McJimsey Award, which recognizes undergraduate student research dealing with Asia.

The winner and one or two runners-up receive invitations and funding to present their work at the Annual Conference, and the winning paper is published in ASIANetwork Exchange: A Journal for Asian Studies in the Liberal Arts.

The prize honors the outstanding service of Marianna McJimsey, the first Executive Director of ASIANetwork and the first editor of ASIANetwork Exchange.

Award (winner): $200 prize. Publication in ASIANetwork Exchange. Registration and two nights lodging for attendance at the upcoming ASIANetwork Annual Conference to present the research during the student poster session.
